A Senior Solicitor in our Wrexham office, Anne Davies has considerable expertise in all areas of family law, dealing with cases in the County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and the House of Lords. Acting for parents, other family members, children, Guardians and the Official Solicitor, Anne’s specialist areas are Care Proceedings, Divorce including cases which involve substantial assets, and Civil Partnerships - including their formation and dissolution.
Anne is a member of the Law Society Children Panel, British Association for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and The Association of Lawyers representing Children. She was Instructing Solicitor in the Case of O and N (House of Lords non accidental injury) and has been a broadcaster on both television and radio speaking about Child Law and other legal matters.
Born in Cardiganshire, Anne went to Caerphilly Grammar School and later worked in local government before changing career direction and taking a Law degree at Cardiff University and an MA degree at the University of Liverpool. After qualifying as a Solicitor in 1989, most of Anne’s legal career has been spent in the Merseyside area. Anne joined GHP Legal in 2007 from the nationally based firm Halliwells, where she gained wide experience in handling divorce cases involving high net worth financial disputes including the valuation of companies, partnership assets and shareholdings.
Anne now lives in Chester and has twin daughters. In her spare time she enjoys hill walking, travel, the theatre and playing bridge.
