Since qualifying as a Solicitor at the unusually young age of 23, Alison Monaghan has worked in the Family Department of our Oswestry office where she specialises in Matrimonial work.
When Alison was elected head girl of Holywell High School in 1999 she firmly set her sights on studying law in Wales and then returning to North Wales to practice – and that is exactly what she did. After winning a scholarship to study Law at University of Wales, Aberystwyth, Alison graduated in 2003 with an Honours degree before going on to Cardiff School of Law and later completing a two year training contract with GHP Legal in 2006.
A member of Resolution, a specialist group of just 5000 lawyers in the UK who are family law experts looking to resolve family disputes in a constructive and cost effective way, Alison has undertaken additional training in separating couples and children matters.
For relaxation Alison enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the cinema and gym and taking city breaks.
