Peter Butler has been Senior Partner at GHP Legal since 2006. As a solicitor-advocate he has Higher Civil Court Rights of Audience and is well known and respected throughout the area. As well as sitting at the helm of the firm Peter also heads up our Commercial, Civil Litigation and Employment departments.
Educated at Grove Park Boys School in Wrexham, Peter was admitted as a solicitor in 1978 after graduating from University College of Wales, Aberystwyth and gaining a post graduate degree at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He served his articles with GH&P and was invited to become a partner of the firm in 1980.
Having sat for a number of years on the General Committee of Chester & North Wales Incorporated Law Society, Peter is currently the Vice President. He is also one of the trustees of Dynamic – the Wrexham centre for children and young people with physical, intellectual or sensory impairments.
A father of two and a self-confessed workaholic, Peter relaxes by listening to music and particularly enjoys live Blues concerts, gigs and trawling through music shops.
