Nigel clocks up 60 miles for college

A local IT Manager is putting on his walking boots for the sixth year running to raise funds for the Derwen College, a specialist residential college just outside Oswestry.

Nigel Redfern, who works for Wrexham and Oswestry law firm GHP Legal, will be taking part in the annual ten mile local event on Sunday 28th March, along with other local people and students and staff from the College. He hopes to raise sponsorship from local businesses and townspeople as well as from work colleagues, family and friends.

A long time supporter of the Derwen College, Nigel says: “Through inclusive learning the Derwen does marvellous work in helping young people with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities to develop vocational and personal skills.”

“Helping to raise much needed funds for the College has become an annual pleasure for me since my family and I started visiting the Garden Centre there and saw the dedication of the College staff to providing a quality life for the students.”
